President Barack Obama is now traveling with two spokespeople — one for policy and one for the campaign.

White House press secretary Jay Carney is being joined by traveling campaign press secretary Jen Psaki. She was named to her post last week after working as a senior vice president at Global Strategy Group. She earlier served as a press aide in Obama’s White House.

From now on, campaign staffers will almost always travel with the president, Politico reports.

Carney and Psaki were together dealing with the media on Air Force One Thursday. Carney dealt with questions concerning Obama’s decision to file a trade complaint against China — not politically motivated, Carney said. And Psaki got her two cents in against Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who opposed a similar complaint in 2009, she claimed.

Carney and Psaki teamed up together smoothly, according to Politico. Each was able to offer an addendum to the other’s remarks at various times.

The duo also was in synch offering a little sarcasm to the media. When asked what it’s like to be back doing press for the president, Psaki said, “Great. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.”

That led Carney to interject, “I say that every day when I'm with you guys.”

Then it was Paki’s turn: “Jay says he is living the dream every day, one day at a time.”

And finally, Carney: “I am. It's the best job ever. It's good to see you guys. Anything else?”
