President Barack Obama has a clear lead over GOP challenger Mitt Romney in New Hampshire and is posting slight leads in Nevada and North Carolina, according to new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls.

Among likely voters, Obama leads Romney 51 to 44 percent in New Hampshire, 49 percent to 47 percent in Nevada, and 48 percent to 46 percent in North Carolina.

NBC News reported that among registered voters, Obama’s lead expands to 8 points in New Hampshire, 4 points in North Carolina, and 7 points in Nevada.

“New Hampshire seems to be following the similar trends we’re seeing elsewhere,” Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, told NBC.

In recent weeks, NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls have shown Obama with leads of 2 to 8 points in the nine battleground states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
