Four weeks after endorsing Hillary Clinton for president, Meg Whitman — a former Republican gubernatorial candidate in California — will join Clinton on the campaign trail.
Whitman, who currently works as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard, will appear in Colorado with Clinton as she tries to help the former first lady defeat Republican Donald Trump in the race for president.
Whitman is one of several high-profile members of the Republican party who are switching sides for this presidential election. According to Politico, she and Clinton will campaign together in Denver at a breakfast with leaders of the local business community.
Last week, Whitman was by Clinton's side for closed-door fundraisers in California.
Whitman, who previously was the CEO of eBay, unsuccessfully ran for the governor of California in the 2010 election. She announced her support for Clinton in early August.
"I will vote for Hillary, I will talk to my Republican friends about helping her, and I will donate to her campaign and try to raise money for her," Whitman said at the time.
In June, she compared Trump to Benito Mussolini and Adolph Hitler.
