Brennan: Trump a Rookie in Art of Dangerous Deal

Brennan: Trump a Rookie in Art of Dangerous Deal
(NBC's "Today")

Former CIA Director John Brennan tweaked President Donald Trump on Thursday, claiming the author of "The Art of the Deal" is dealing recklessly with dictators and is pushing the world to war with North Korea.

"I think he's trying to demonstrate that he's tough and he's trying to intimidate opponents, but at the same time he is not experienced at all in international brinkmanship on these issues," Brennan said on NBC's "Today" show.

"His [Trump] comments have been rather provocative and it has served to increase tensions, not to de-escalate them," Brennan added, referring to Trump's comments about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Kim is threatening to fire a nuclear missile at the United States, and Trump has warned of "fire and fury" consequences.

Trump also has tried to belittle Kim by calling him "Little Rocket Man."
