One of four Republican lawmakers ousted from several key committees by House Speaker John Boehner last week will not be reinstated to the committees from which he was removed.

Kansas Rep. Tim Huelskamp, who was unceremoniously booted from the House Budget and Agriculture Committees, told Newmax that he received word that his request was denied.

“We received a response from the Speaker that was lacking in any detail. I received recent word that my efforts to reinstate our committee assignments has apparently been denied," Huelskamp said.

"And frankly I didn’t come to Washington to take orders from anybody other than my constituents and I told them I was going to come up here to fight the wasteful spending, fight the high taxes, fight the big government, overregulation, and I will continue to do that whether they take committees away from me because that’s what we need done in Washington. We need people fighting for conservative principles-- not running away from them.”
