Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee inaugurated his new radio show with a blistering attack on President Barack Obama. First, the 2008 presidential candidate offered an introduction to his show’s philosophy.

“Welcome to the community of conversation,” he said, according to Politico. "You’ve just made a right turn, and you’ve arrived at the corner of conservatism and common sense.”

Then Huckabee proceeded to the issues of the day, laying into Obama and fellow Democrats for failing to take responsibility for “lousy job numbers,” surging gasoline prices, and the Government Services Administration scandal.

“Always the response is, ‘Well, it may be bad, but it could’ve been a lot worse.’ That’s been the explanation from this administration almost from day one,” Huckabee said. “Every time there’s bad news, there’s never an acknowledgment that we have to make it better, because we own this thing. It’s always, ‘Well, it’s bad. But, by golly, if it weren’t for us, it’d be worse.’”

The bottom line is this, Huckabee said, “gasoline is twice what it was since President Obama took office, and so many people have given up looking for work that it may just not matter.”

Huckabee also interviewed likely Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and GOP strategists Dick Morris and Ed Rollins during his show.
