House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Hillary Clinton is the Democratic Party’s “shot” in 2016. In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Pelosi said Clinton should run again in 2016.

“Why wouldn't she run?” the former House speaker told the newspaper. “She's a magnificent secretary of state.”

"She's our shot" in 2016, Pelosi said.

Clinton’s name is mentioned alongside Vice President Joe Biden and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley as potential Democratic candidates in four years.

The California Democrat waved off Chronicle questions as to whether she would return as House speaker if the Democrats regain control of the House.

“All that matters to me is the Democrats win,” she told the Chronicle. "We'll see after. But that's so much less important than the Democrats winning.”
