Throughout the presidential campaign and, in particular, the national debates, President Donald Trump was considered a fighter, so, in a fitting tribute to the "counter-puncher," "Fight Song" was played at one of inaugural balls Friday night in Washington, D.C.
Ironically, Hillary Clinton's campaign played Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" numerous times at events this summer, as The Hill reported.
The Piano Guys covered Platten's 2015 hit with their instrumental rendition – mixing it with "Amazing Grace" – which they called their "tribute to superheroes."
"These are ordinary people in all of our lives that use superhero, ordinary strength to overcome extra challenges,” Steven Sharp Nelson, the group’s cellist, told the crowd. "I’m thinking of my father. He's my superhero."
Nelson told the crowd his father raised him and his siblings while his mother fought a brain tumor.
In another fitting tribute – amid an unorthodox campaign and candidate – President Trump and wife Melania's first dance at the black-tie affair came to the tune of Frank Sinatra's "My Way."
