The Republican National Committee has narrowed its list of potential cities to host the 2012 Republican National Convention down to three final contenders, Fox News reported Monday.

National Republican insiders with knowledge of the process says the cities are Tampa, Fla., Phoenix, Ariz., and Salt Lake City, Utah.

The RNC's Site Selection Committee made the decision at a meeting last Friday in Hawaii as part of the RNC's Winter meetings.

The final decision on the host city will be made sometime this spring.
