Former independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin took a shot at President-elect Donald Trump Friday, saying he's taking sides with "America's greatest adversary" in Russia.
McMullin, an ex-CIA officer who received just under 726,000 votes on Election Day, commented on Trump's Twitter post that praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for not expelling American diplomats from his country.
McMullin threw other jabs at the president-elect Friday as well:
President Barack Obama took sanctions on Russia Thursday over allegations it interfered with the U.S. presidential election. Under the order, 35 Russian intelligence operatives were expelled from the U.S. and two Russian intelligence-related compounds in New York and Maryland were closed.
