GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is leading in another contest: gay erotic fiction sales.
Trump is a character in the 10-page "Trump Temptation: The Billionaire & The Bellboy," written by 22-year comedian Elijah Daniel,
The Washington Post reports. It sells for $1.99.
Daniel wrote the book on a whim after tweeting last week, "I'm going to get drunk tonight and write an entire donald trump sex novel like 50 shades of grey & put it on amazon tomorrow i swear to god."
The book currently is No. 1 in the Gay Erotica E-Books, LGBT Books, and Humorous E-Books categories,
according to Mediaite.
An audio version is in the works — read by Trump impersonator Chris Ferretti — as are sequels. Daniel already has sold two TV series to major networks as a result of his sudden popularity, according to the Post.
"I think it went so viral just because the absurdity of it," Daniel told the Post. "My followers are used to me doing stupid things. But I'm definitely surprised at how big it got."
