Thursday, 07 October 2010 02:15 PM EDT

Republicans show more enthusiasm than Democrats about voting in next month’s elections, according to a new poll from The Hill/ANGA. That’s bad news for the Democrats as the GOP threatens to regain control of Congress, The Hill reports.

And in districts won by Democrats two years ago, 83 percent of Republicans say they are “very passionate” about voting this fall, compared to 68 percent of Democrats and 67 percent of independents.

“Right now, there’s no doubt that Republicans are showing a high level of passion when it comes to turnout,” says pollster Mark Penn.
