Sen. Scott Brown is accusing his presumed Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren of going Hollywood to raise more money for her campaign, according to the Boston Herald.

In a statement issued by his campaign Wednesday night, the Massachusetts Republican said Warren’s “claims to be a champion of the middle-class ring hollow every time she jets off to California to clink champagne glasses with Hollywood elites.”

“She should get an Oscar for ‘Biggest Hypocrite In a Political Campaign,’” the statement said.

Warren, the Herald noted, is scheduled to be in California next week for a big fundraiser. But in the meantime, her campaign offered up some hard criticism of its own for a Brown fundraising trip to Florida, where his GOP Senate colleague Marco Rubio is helping him raise money.

“Scott Brown, with a $12.1 million war chest filled with Wall Street money, is in West Palm Beach raising even more with tea party favorite Marco Rubio, who’s working with him to pass a new law that threatens health care for women,” said Warren campaign spokeswoman Alethea Harney.

“Yet he’s criticizing Elizabeth Warren, who stood up to Wall Street and has spent her life fighting for middle class families,” she said. “Really?”
