House Speaker John Boehner will be holding his first rally with presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney this weekend in the speaker’s Ohio congressional district.
The rally in Troy, Ohio was announced following an hour-long, private meeting between the two top Republicans Monday in Atlanta, the Washington Post reported.
Boehner and Romney reportedly discussed ways to “work together over the months ahead,” a source told Politico, which first reported the story.
Romney also is making his rounds with Republicans on Capitol Hill this week in an effort to coordinate an effective campaign strategy.
