Poll: 69 Percent Think Economy Is in 'Good' Shape

Sixty-nine percent of Americans say the economy is in good condition compared to just 30 percent who say it is bad, according to a new CBS News poll.

Here are the highlights from the survey:

President Donald Trump's handling of the economy:

  • Approve: 46 percent.
  • Disapprove: 45 percent.

Trade:

  • Approve: 38 percent.
  • Disapprove: 45 percent.

Immigration:

  • Approve: 37 percent.
  • Disapprove: 57 percent.

Healthcare:

  • Approve: 32 percent.
  • Disapprove: 59 percent.

Trump's job performance:

  • Approve: 36 percent.
  • Disapprove: 58 percent.

The poll, conducted Aug. 3-6, sampled 1,111 adults nationwide. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
