PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The race in Oregon between gubernatorial candidates Republican Chris Dudley and Democrat John Kitzhaber has been close for weeks, and every indication is it remains tight just days ahead of Election Day.

Polls have consistently shown the two candidates close, neither with an advantage of more than the polling margin of error. About a tenth of the likely voters were listed as undecided in the most recent poll done for news organizations.

Both campaigns are focusing this weekend on identifying registered voters who are considered friendly and who haven't returned their ballots.

As is typical of Oregon Republicans, Dudley, a former NBA player, has raised more money than Kitzhaber, about $9 million to $6 million as of this past week.
