President Barack Obama will visit Los Angeles to speak at high-priced fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee and Sen. Barbara Boxer's re-election campaign.

The president's arrival Monday afternoon will mark his third visit to Southern California since he took office.

Obama will speak at a reception at the California Science Center, where tickets will run up to $2,500 each. He'll also speak at a dinner at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, which carries a price tag of $17,600 per person.

A group that supports the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and Afghanistan plans to protest in Exposition Park, where both museums are located.

Obama is scheduled to leave Los Angeles early Tuesday.
