President Donald Trump's inaugural address broke with predecessors for using words that've never been uttered before in a swearing-in speech – including his oft-tweeted "sad," along with "tombstones" and "trapped," according to the Washington Post.

According to the Post, Trump delivered fewer inaugural words than any president since Jimmy Carter, speaking about 1,500 in his under-17-minute speech.

But it was the words themselves that set him apart, according to then Post, citing the American Presidency Project, and listing the never-before-in-an-inaugural-speech words as: bleed, carnage, depletion, disagreements, disrepair, flush, infrastructure, Islamic, lady, landscape, overseas, ripped rusted, sad, solidarity, sprawl, stealing, stolen, subsidized, tombstones, trapped, trillions, tunnel, unrealized unstoppable, urban, wind-swept.
