The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has more cash on hand than the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and less debt, figures through August show.
The NRCC has $11.7 million cash on hand and $2.5 million of debt, compared with the DCCC’s $7.8 million of cash and $3.3 million of debt.
But the DCCC raised more in contributions than the NRCC last month — $3.6 million to $3 million. And the DCCC has drawn slightly more money for the first eight months of the year — $41.3 million to the NRCC’s $40.4 million,

As the campaign heats up, growth of outside PACs may make the party campaign committees less important than in the past.
