CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Nevada Republican leaders are reconsidering their Jan. 14 caucus date following a call from New Hampshire state officials for candidates to boycott the western state.

Nevada GOP Chairwoman Amy Tarkanian told The Associated Press Wednesday that state Republican leaders could reset the date amid concerns that New Hampshire might hold its first-in-the-nation primary in early December.

Tarkanian says state Republican leaders could pick a new date before Saturday, when more than 200 rank-and-file Republicans were expected to vote on the matter.

Tarkanian says Nevada wouldn't hold its caucuses on a Tuesday, suggesting the contest could be held on Feb. 4 or later.

New Hampshire officials have urged Nevada to push its caucuses to Jan. 17.

Nevada moved its caucuses ahead five weeks after Florida jumped its primary to Jan. 31.
