Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had no problem celebrating “National Empty Chair Day” for Republicans Monday.

On her Twitter page, the former vice presidential candidate posted a photo of a child's empty booster seat accompanied by text reading, “America's kids are going to be stuck paying for Obama's Empty Chair Style of Leadership.”

Empty Chair Day stemmed from actor Clint Eastwood’s speech at the GOP convention last Thursday, when he used one as a prop to represent Obama. Eastwood ripped the president for broken campaign promises.

The two-time Oscar winning director’s speech prompted a Twitter extravaganza, with people posting photos of empty chairs generally getting admonished by a pointing finger.

Some politicos speculated that Eastwood’s rambling address would hurt Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, but one of his advisers said Romney thought Eastwood’s routine was funny.

And even Obama said in an interview with USA Today that he wasn’t “offended” by the speech and is "a huge Clint Eastwood fan."
