The presidential race is tied, with both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama standing at 48 percent in Ohio, seen by many as the most crucial battleground state of all.
A Rasmussen Reports survey conducted after the final presidential debate shows there is no daylight between the two men vying to live in the White House for the next four years.
The poll, released Wednesday, showed 4 percent of Republicans remain undecided, while only 1 percent of Democrats have not definitely made up their mind. The figure stands at 12 percent among independents.
President Barack Obama has held a slim lead in the Buckeye State, Rasmussen says and has a 10 percentage point lead among those who have voted early. However that gap is dwindling.
According to Rasmussen’s figures, Obama holds a wafer-thin 237-235 advantage in Electoral College votes.
The survey of 750 likely voters was conducted on Tuesday.
