Romney Wins Poll of Iowa Republicans

Mitt Romney topped a field of potential GOP presidential contenders in a new survey of Iowa Republicans, according to CNN's Political Ticker blog.

The poll, released Friday, showed that 62 percent of likely voters in Iowa's Tuesday primary gave the former Massachusetts governor a favorable rating while just 26 percent gave him an unfavorable rating.

Romney's ratings in each category were better than runner-up Republicans Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich.
