Michigan Republican Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said the attorneys conducting a criminal investigation of the national security leaks must “take the investigation where it goes.”

“If it goes to the embassy or DOD or FBI, they have to go there,” Rogers said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I hope that ideology and politics don’t settle into this because I think that would interfere with a thorough, complete and fair investigation.”

He called the latest security breach one more in a “parade of leaks” that warrants immediate action.

“It was because of the parade of leaks that I think Sen. [Dianne] Feinstein and I both stood up and said, ‘Something’s got to be done about this. We need to close their yaps here, if we can.’”
