Former secretary of State Henry Kissinger's tenure in the public life will continue on Tuesday as he testifies at two inaugural hearings in the new GOP Senate, The Washington Post reported.

The 91-year-old Nobel Prize winner has been invited to be the opening witness at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing entitled "The National Interest: Articulating the Case for American Leadership in the World."

The committee is now lead by Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker.

Later that day, Kissinger will appear before the Armed Services Committee. Chairman John McCain's office said he will be testifying before the committee "to provide a perspective on global challenges to national security," the Post reported.

Kissinger released his 14th book, "World Order", in September. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised the book in a review in the Post saying it explored the challenge of building "a future of peace, progress and prosperity in which people everywhere have the opportunity to live up to their God-given potential."
