President-elect Donald Trump carries a favorability rating of 42 percent on the day he gets sworn-in to the office, according to a new Fox News poll.
The Fox News poll results:
- Unfavorable opinion of Trump: 55 percent.
- 50 percent say Trump's doing a bad job of listening to them.
- 54 percent say they disapprove of how Trump is handling the transition.
Trump's net-negative 13 percent on favorability falls behind those of his predecessors; George W. Bush had a net positive of 27 percent in 2001 and Barack Obama a net positive of 61 points, according to Fox News.
Trump's favorables were highest in December when he enjoyed a 47 percent rating compared to 51 percent unfavorable.
The Fox News poll was conducted by telephone with live interviewers from Jan. 15-18, 2017 among a random national sample of 1,006 registered voters. Results based on the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 points.
