Republicans have no shortage of ideas on how to spark more hiring. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor laid out some of them in a memo to his fellow Republicans Monday. He listed 10 major regulations that senior Republicans will seek to discard and tax cuts for businesses that they will try to enact.

Eric Cantor, create, jobs, Republicans“I think the administration has . . . already demonstrated that it is not interested in focusing on private sector growth,” Cantor said after announcing the plan on Fox News. “What our list demonstrates is: Washington now has gotten in the way, and we’ve got to make it easier, finally, for small business people to grow.”

First on the list of onerous regulations is the National Labor Relations Board’s complaint against Boeing for moving a production line to South Carolina from more union-friendly Washington State.

The tax proposals include a 20 percent deduction for small business owners.
