The conservative group American Majority has figured out a unique way to get its message out. It will sponsor NASCAR driver Jason Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 car for the season that begins this month in Daytona, Fla., Politico reports.

The sponsorship represents the linchpin of American Majority’s campaign to register and urge conservatives to vote in the November elections, organizers told Politico. They put the cost of the sponsorship in the “seven-figure range.” It lasts through October.

As a nonprofit educational group, American Majority can’t openly endorse a specific candidate or party as part of the sponsorship. So instead, it will urge race fans to vote against big government, higher taxes, and a rising national debt, American Majority President Ned Ryun told Politico.

The Bowles car will be painted red, white, and blue. The slogans “Pledge to Vote” and “Keep America Free” will appear on its side, with “American Majority Racing” emblazoned on the hood.

“NASCAR fans are very patriotic, very excited about America, and tend to have more conservative values. So it makes a lot more sense to start our effort here than with another sport,” Ryun said. “It’s a smart fit.”
