Former Republican Rep. Tom DeLay told
Newsmax TV he's still waiting for Donald Trump to tell him where he stands on issues.
"He is what he is, we've seen up close and personal during the primaries and I think we should expect exactly what we're getting," DeLay told host Ed Berliner on "The Hard Line" Wednesday.

"Between now and November, that's sort of the position I'm in.
"Tell me why I should vote for you? Raising taxes, ain't going to vote for you, starting a trading war, I'm not going to vote for you. Backing off on abortion and pro-life principles, I'm not going to vote for you. So what is it Mr. Trump can you tell me would make me vote for you?"
DeLay also said Republicans on Capitol Hill could still get their way without a Republican in the White House.
"You don't need a Republican president to sign your bills," said DeLay, who served as House Majority Leader from 2003-2005. "We proved that in the '90s with Bill Clinton."
DeLay added that many conservatives are starting to realize they might be "very embarrassed if Donald Trump is president."
