Corey Lewandowski "seems to be on a course of self-aggrandizement" — and he is among several staffers with Donald Trump's campaign "who's more worried about their own standing in the media and not worried about how their candidate looks," Republican political consultant Roger Stone told
Newsmax TV on Tuesday.
"The sad part here is that there are some people in Donald Trump's campaign who are working to elect him president and there are other people more concerned with their position in the entourage and measuring the curtains for their White House office," Stone told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "It doesn't really serve the candidate well."

Stone added that Lewandowski's recent announcement that he was heading up the effort to raise $1 billion for Trump's campaign proved that "he's oversold his role here."
"This election is not about Corey Lewandowski or Roger Stone," he later added. "It's about Donald Trump and making America great again.
"I just think these things don't serve the campaign well."
