Texas Senator Ted Cruz has replaced retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson in second place behind front-runner Donald Trump in Iowa, according to the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker poll.
The poll was released Sunday on
"Face the Nation."
Here are the results of the top six candidates released:
- Donald Trump: 30 percent
- Ted Cruz: 21 percent
- Ben Carson: 19 percent
- Marco Rubio: 11 percent
- Jeb Bush: 5 percent
- Carly Fiorina 4 percent
The rest of the candidates had 2 percent or less.
The poll marks an eight-point drop for Carson in Iowa, which holds its caucuses on February 1.
The margin of error in the Iowa poll is plus-or-minus 6.2 percent
N.H. GOP primary
- Donald Trump: 32 percent
- Marco Rubio: 13 percent
- Ben Carson: 10 percent
- Ted Cruz: 10 percent
- John Kasich: 8 percent
- Jeb Bush: 6 percent
- Carly Fiorina: 6 percent
- Rand Paul: 6 percent
- Chris Christie: 5 percent
Other candidates have 1 percent or less.
The margin of error in the New Hampshire poll is plus-or-minus 6.e percent.
