Rick Santorum’s campaign manager Michael Biundo has joined the camp of former rival Mitt Romney and will lead an effort to organize conservative voters, The Washington Post’s Campaign 2012 blog reported.
Biundo will serve as Romney's deputy director of coalitions. The job calls for him to bring into the Romney fold tea partyers, evangelicals, and other conservatives, the Post reported.
“Mike Biundo ran an outstanding campaign for Senator Santorum, and we are excited that he has agreed to bring his considerable skills and abilities to our team,” a Romney spokesman said according to the Post. “His decision to join Governor Romney’s campaign is another indication that Republicans are coalescing around Governor Romney’s pro-jobs, pro-growth message, and quickly uniting to defeat President Obama.”
