Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who has seemed to endure some fraught moments in his relationship with President Donald Trump, joked Thursday there are days he feels like he needs to "curl up in a ball."
Touring a park in Geneva, Tillerson was filmed admiring a statue of what appeared to be a small group of people embracing one another.
"Yeah, some days I feel like I need to do that — curl up in a ball," Tillerson said, laughing.
According to ABC News, Tillerson was in Geneva on his way home from a trip to the Middle East and South Asia, and he also met with U.N. Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura, who later announced plans to resume U.N.-mediated peace Syrian talks in Geneva on Nov. 28.
Tillerson has been dogged by an NBC News report he considered resigning from the administration over the summer, and had referred to Trump as a "moron." Tillerson has denied wanting to leave his post, but did not explicitly deny the name-calling.
In an interview with Forbes earlier this month, Trump said he thought the NBC News report was "fake news," adding "But if he did that, I guess we'll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win."
