Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus blasted President Barack Obama's handling of healthcare Sunday even as Democrats signaled they were going to attack GOP vice presidential pick Paul Ryan on his plan to fix Medicare.

Priebus charged that it's Obama who who has "blood on his hands" for stealing from the program to fund his signature healthcare law.

"If any person in this entire debate has blood on their hands in regards to Medicare, it's Barack Obama." Priebus said on NBC’s “Meet the Press". "He's the one destroying Medicare."

Priebus was responding to a new Obama ad that has slammed Ryan's budget plan for being tough on the elderly and students.

"This president stole he didn't cut Medicare he stole $700 billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare," Priebus said.
