Newsmax’s Aftershock Survival Summit has been a rousing success as hundreds of thousands of people are tuning in to view the 40-minute webinar, which offers listeners specific advice on a range of financial issues.

Newsmax readers and their friends were invited to view the completely free webinar, which first aired at noon on July 14. It was rebroadcast three times that day, and is still available for viewing

Listeners hear a wide-ranging interview with economist Bob Wiedemer.
Back in 2006, Wiedemer was one of three economists who co-authored a book correctly warning that the real estate boom and Wall Street bull run were about to end.

In 2009, they returned and wrote the best-selling book “Aftershock.” They described a situation where a massive pullback on our dollar, coupled with an out-of-control government debt fiasco, would begin to topple the American way of life.

The “Aftershock” book predicted that the two massive bubbles — the dollar and U.S. government debt — could burst by 2013.

During Newsmax’s Aftershock Survival Summit, Wiedemer discussed the dire consequences of Washington, D.C.’s bipartisan, multi-decade “borrow-and-spend” agenda, and the solution listeners need to help them avoid, or at least lessen, the damage.

He also explored the inflation nightmare, the coming further plunge in home prices, the looming collapse of the stock and bond markets, a possible historic surge in unemployment, and what life in America will be like in the days of the “Aftershock.”

Listeners heard detailed personal finance advice for handling credit card debt, home and car loans, life insurance, and much more — tools they can use to assure they take part in an “Aftershock” recovery.

Thousands of listeners also took advantage of a special Newsmax offer for a free copy of the new edition of the “Aftershock” book.

Wiedemer noted during the interview that the publisher requested he not include a chapter labeled “too controversial” for the new edition. However, listeners are able to get a copy of the “unpublished chapter” through Newsmax.
