President Barack Obama is ignoring the slaughter of Christians and Muslims by Islamic terrorists while he preaches for Christians not to get on a "high horse," says radio talk show host Mark Levin.
"Obama is not doing anything effective or substantive to stop genocide in our time," Levin said Thursday on Fox News Channel's
"Hannity."
Obama
was criticized after saying at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday that Christians shouldn't be critical of all Muslims just because terrorists are invoking Islam. He said the Crusades and Inquisition were carried out in the name of Christ.
Levin suggested Obama should visit Arlington National Cemetery and see the graves of those who have given their lives for the freedom of people throughout the world.
"Those young men, if you look at those headstones, the overwhelming majority … Mr. Obama, are Christians," Levin said.
Obama also noted at the prayer breakfast that some people used the Bible to justify slavery and Jim Crow laws in the United States.
Levin countered that if President Abraham Lincoln had used Obama's logic he would have said that slavery had existed throughout history in various cultures, so it shouldn't be condemned.
"There are black Christians and black Muslims in Africa who are being slaughtered. They don't want to hear about the Jim Crow laws," Levin said. "There are Christians and other Muslims being slaughtered in the Middle East, they don't need a lecture from Obama about Christianity."
