Iran has no choice but to destroy America so it can build an ideal society, the head of the Islamic Republic’s paramilitary force has told his troops.

“In every field in which the Islamic Republic of Iran tries to advance America is there to create obstacles for us,” Brig. Gen. Mohammed Reza Naqdi, head of the Basij volunteer militia said in a video message.

“When we want progress in science, they enforce sanctions and kill our scientists,” Naqdi said, according to the Daily Caller.

“As long as America exists, we will not rest,” Naqdi added. “In revealing the truth about America and the Zionists, we must raise public hate against the despotic powers and create the environment for the destruction of America.”

Naqdi has previously threatened to assassinate senior American military leaders in response to the wave of assassinations of nuclear scientists, which Tehran has blamed on Israel and the United States.

He said Iran’s independence and “unhindered advance toward perfection” can only be obtained by destroying the United States and Israel.
