Enlarged prostate problems affect more than half of men between 40 and 59 according to statistics. And this figure continues to climb as men grow older. Beyond age 60, prostate problems affect up to 80% of men.

According to Dr. David Brownstein, one main cause of enlarged prostate problems is a rogue testosterone compound called DHT or dihydrotestosterone.

Dr. Brownstein, a noted holistic medical physician, tells us “Once a man hits 40 or so, his body starts to secrete an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. This enzyme starts turning normal manly testosterone into a rogue testosterone compound called DHT, which rises as regular testosterone levels go down.” Click here to see why enlarged prostate problems linked to DHT is such a crucial health concern for men.

Alert: The One Thing You Should Do For Your Prostate Every  Morning

Prostate Problems, Health and DHT explained in this video by Dr. Brownstein.

DHT build-up is thought to be one of the primary reasons that prostate size increases with age, leading to common urinary issues like frequent urination, leaking or dribbling of urine, getting up multiple times at night to urinate, and others” Dr. Brownstein warns.

But DHT is not the only factor which contributes to enlarged prostate problems. “The secondary culprit in many prostate problems is inflammation,” Dr. Brownstein continues. “Inflammation is the response of the body’s tissues to injury, releasing chemicals that result in fluid retention in and around the prostate gland.”

Because prostate problems are so prevalent for men over 50, Dr. Brownstein has collaborated with Newsmax Health on a special free video presentation to help the public discover more information about enlarged prostate problem and other prostate-related issues. Dr. Brownstein encountered many male patients with prostate problems in his practice, but discovered that conventional treatment of enlarged prostate problems was not always helpful. His dissatisfaction with traditional prostate treatment methods led him to some new breakthroughs in male prostate health.
