The White House has named Hogan Gidley as deputy press secretary, according to CNN.
Gidley confirmed to CNN that he had the job, which he begins Wednesday. He was press secretary for Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign and will now serve under Huckabee's daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary.
The new deputy press secretary has worked as an aide to Rick Santorum and was the South Carolina Republican Party's executive director.
Huckabee Sanders worked with Gidley on her father's presidential campaign in 2016. He worked with Santorum during his presidential campaign in 2012, according to The Washington Post.
