The Central Intelligence Agency will examine how much damage the release of diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks did to the organization, an official said.

The CIA’s Counterintelligence Center will assess fallout from the leaks, Jennifer Youngblood, an agency spokeswoman, said today in an e-mailed statement.

WikiLeaks, which obtains secret government and corporate documents and posts them on its website, has drawn condemnation from world leaders for releasing thousands of classified U.S. diplomatic communications and military documents related to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
