Iran and Russia Helping Syria as Arab League Falters

Iran and Russia have rushed in to Syria, selling arms and buying oil while the Arab League mission collapses. The United States, meanwhile, is pulling out, withdrawing staff from the American embassy in Damascus as the violence intensifies.

Hayden: China Driving Neighbors Into Arms of U.S.

Ex CIA chief Michael Hayden says China overplayed its hand in recent moves to dominate the South China Sea, driving a number of Pacific Rim countries to strengthen relations with the United States. “Everybody in that region is now saying, ‘Where are the Americans?
