NEW YORK (AP) — A fire official says a plane arrived safely at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport after reports of a fire on the passenger jet's wing led to an emergency landing.

An official with the Fire Department of New York says there were no signs of fire once the plane landed Sunday night and no injuries. He says the aircraft is taxiing to the gate.

No other details on the flight were immediately available.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey didn't immediately respond to a call requesting comment.
