GOP standard bearer Mitt Romney said that if voters step back and look at the issues facing America, they’ll see that he and Paul Ryan are the “only team that has answers for these challenges.”
In an interview that aired on “Fox News Sunday,” Romney told host Chris Wallace that the U.S. is facing “big issues” in this election.
“I believe that if people stand back and consider all that America has to deal with going forward, they’ll recognize that we’re the only team that has answers for these challenges,” said Romney. “And they’re big and bold answers.”
He pointed to high unemployment and the difficult economy that keeps pounding American families.
“America needs that kind of help at a time when so many people are out of work or underemployed or having a hard time making ends meet,” he said.
If the American people can take away only one thing from his acceptance speech on Thursday, Romney said it should be his vision for a strong America.
“That I believe in America and in the American people,” he explained. “That I believe that this nation is unique and exceptional and that we have everything we need to continue to lead the world in prosperity and in peace.”
