He doesn’t have the Republican nomination wrapped up yet, but Mitt Romney’s campaign is already putting together its “Prosecution of Obama” project aimed at attacking the president’s handling of the economy.
Quoting a Romney campaign associate,
Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard wrote Thursday that the project would feature ads and speeches dealing with “how Barack Obama’s policies have hurt the middle class, given more and more people concerns about their jobs and prices, and put downward pressure on households.”
The campaign insider told Bedard, “What Obama has done so far hasn’t worked and, when needed, he didn’t lead.”
Romney campaign officials tell the Examiner they hope to launch the “Prosecution of Obama” project at the end of April, when they expect to have the nomination wrapped up. Ads will also feature Romney’s alternative storyline, which will focus on his business background and his plan to boost the economy and create new jobs.
