LIGNET: With Failure of Iran Talks, Israel Comes Closer to Striking

In multilateral talks this week, Iran refused all offers, saying it wouldn’t make any deal that didn’t first lift sanctions.

Representatives left the talks with an agreement to meet again next month.

But it’s likely, given Iran ’s intransigence and the reports of its continued development of nuclear weapons material, that plans have already been put in motion.

The chance of a large-scale Israeli airstrike on Iran ’s nuclear facilities has now increased, perhaps two-fold, with David Wurmser, a former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, saying it could very well come by the end of summer.
