The militant Islamic State group (ISIS) is reportedly readying the launch of a 24/7 news channel to spread its jihadist propaganda.
According to Variety, the tech-savvy terrorists posted two Arabic-language teasers for an upcoming channel that will be called the Islamic Caliphate Broadcast.
Both featured slick images and promised in-depth video, Variety reports.
The new channel is expected to feature a new video series by British captive John Cantile, who has already made several videos for the Islamic State, and a daily news program,
the Israeli newspaper Haaretz has reported.
Also scheduled is "Time to Recruit," a program aimed at aiding the the recruitment of young Muslims to the jihadist cause.
Earlier reports said the station would be broadcast online at khalifalive.info, but that site went dark over the weekend, Variety reports.
The Islamic State already runs the FM radio station Al-Bayan, which broadcasts propaganda from the city of Mosul in northern Iraq,
Vocativ reports.
ISIS militants have made effective use of both Twitter and YouTube in their murderous terror campaign in Iraq and Syria, Variety notes. They also run their own English-language magazine, Daqib, as well as a video series, on both YouTube and other content-sharing sites, dubbed "The Flames of War," Variety reports.
