Mitt Romney has pulled back into a dead heat with President Barack Obama for the past two days, according to Gallup’s daily tracking poll.

After nearly a month where Romney has been lagging, he has managed to draw level for two successive days.

Throughout much of June the two presidential challengers were neck and neck but Obama pulled ahead in the last week of June and has maintained a lead of between two and four percentage points since.

Romney came back to tie for a single day on July 9 before Obama edged ahead again. But now for two days they have been in a dead heat, each on 46 percent. The last time the condenders for the White House were tied for two straight days was in the middle of May.
