The Gallup 7-day tracking poll in the presidential election shows Governor Mitt Romney has increased his lead to 7 points over President Barack Obama.

Romney’s 52-45 lead in the poll is the largest he’s had during the campaign season, and is up one point from Wednesday.

According to Business Insider, this is the first poll to include reaction to Tuesday night’s debate, which garnered mixed reactions from the media as to who won. Both Republicans and Democrats had positive reactions to the performance of their candidates.

Romney’s lead is outside the two-point margin of error in the survey of approximately 2,700 likely voters.
