Matt Bissonnette, the Navy SEAL who wrote a best-selling account of the killing of Osama bin Laden is being ostracized by his former colleagues in the elite military corps.

He will not be invited to any future gatherings of SEAL Team 6, sources tell The Washington Times. He is even likely to be blacklisted from memorial services.

“The guys who run their mouths are typically not invited back to these things,” the Times quoted a retired senior Navy officer familiar with the SEAL culture.

“These guys are not really welcomed in many places in the ‘spec’ war community. The entire SEAL community has made these guys unwelcomed at their gatherings.”

A second source told the Times that Bissonnette, who wrote the book “No Easy Day" under the pseudonym Mark Owen, is already getting the cold shoulder from his former comrades in arms.

“They’re not going to buy the book. Most of the guys are pissed off [by] the fact that he would disclose the operation.”

The sources told the Times his book violates the “basic SEAL creed,” which reads: “I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own.”

Already Bissonnette is being threatened with legal action by the Pentagon for writing “No Easy Day” without submitting it for security clearance.
