Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi’s son, Sadi, was arrested in Niger when his convoy of vehicles was intercepted by the Nigerian army, Justice Minister Amadou Marou said in an interview.

Sadi Qaddafi was among 10 to 12 Libyans, Nigerian National Guard Captain Abdoulaye Hima said by telephone. The dictator’s son could be turned over to international authorities, Marou said, adding that Niger “will respect all its commitments” with international justice bodies.
